I ordered this on clearance last year post-holiday season, and I was amazed by how much I loved this tea. Being an American, I can only honestly say I've had a proper mince pie once, so I can't give a strong opinion how much this mirrors the beloved pie. But this tea as intimations of crust, dried stone fruit, warm cinnamon, and Christmas joy. I'm tickled pink this is back in stock as I've tried no less than 35+ teas this year, (across six different companies) and this ranks in my top two favorites....Read more

This really does taste like mince pie filling!

You know when you can't quite tell if something is almond or cherry? People either love it or hate it. I love it. I'm really tempted to use a little as hair rinse so I can smell it all day.

I don't eat mince pies but this tea is so tasty and delicious.
Thank you Bird and Blend.
This tea is just so nice. A great full bodied tea with lovely dark fruits and a hint of sweetness. The best thing for me is the almonds. They add a real creaminess, so it’s like drinking a latte without the calories of the milk. Totally, utterly recommended!
I was really sad when Christmas Cake was discontinued, but this is a definite upgrade. Think Christmas spices with sweet almond notes over the top. A perfect comforting drink!
Quite a subtle flavour, personally didn't feel that it smelled or tasted like mince pies, but was an enjoyable tea all the same
I love mince pies and eat far too many of them at this time of year so this is a perfect alternative... Delicious spice and almond flavours. After trying the sample I ordered a tin.
I wasn't immediately won over by the scent of this tea but as I drunk it I fell more in love. Definite spicey fruity notes, delicious with milk. The only down side? It was such a snug cosy drink I didn't want to go to work afterwards. Shall definitely save for nights by the fire in the future.
What a stroke of genius it was when Bird and Blend invented this treat of a tea. A warming mix of dried fruits, spices, and even a dash of cherry almond sweetness. I enjoy mine with a splash of milk and a spoon of brown sugar, preferably whilst wrapped a blanket with a good book.
This is part of Bird & Blend’s Christmas collection this year. I was a bit sad to see that they hadn’t brought back Christmas Cake this time, but really it’s a good thing since I don’t need to be ordering from them again anyway… ;)
The dry leaf smells yummy and fruity. Hmm… It does taste fruity, but it’s quite bubblegum-like really. There is a nice cherry and almond flavor as well, and perhaps a hint of pastry. I don’t get much spice really, which makes me question the mince pie idea… It’s more of a bakewell tart from what I can taste. It’s surprisingly bitter for a 3-minute steep, an issue I haven’t had with other Bird & Blend teas.
I’m not in love, which I’m actually a bit relieved about since this is a seasonal tea. No need to make another order!

My favourite tea is Christmas cake tea so I was really excited when I got some mince pie tea. It smells and tastes delicious, a good tea if you like all those Christmas spices. A lovely tea to have at this time of year!
As soon as I opened the packet I was hit by that mince pie scent! Yum! But on brewing I found the taste a little disappointing in comparison. It’s hard to get a good colour going from it without steeping for a good few minutes, and by that time all I taste is bitter almond.

It is still a long way before Christmas but this tea makes the waiting less hard. It is really good. It gives you the perfect kick in the morning while making you feel relaxed and Christmassy at the same time.
I don't get to eat mince pies very often so this is a real treat. I have stretched out of my supply of this since last Christmas so that I could have it all year.
Initially I was disappointed when Christmas cake wasn't in the line up this year, but thought I'd give mince pie a go as an alternative. So glad I did, I really like this flavor.
Firstly the smell is just delicious. Exactly like a pile of mince pies!
The flavor is sweet, with only a mild hint of spice. In my opinion it's very similar to the chocolate digestive flavour. It's a good all rounder tea, not just for fans of the usual Christmas spices or mince pies.
It's not as good as Christmas cake imo, but still delicious!

Last year I was given a gift of Christmas Cake Tea which was fantastic, so when Mince Pie Tea was announced I was delighted. I purchased loose tea which smelt just like mince pies. However, I was disappointed with the taste - it tasted weaker than I anticipated.
Received this as a free sample teabag in my last order. Love it! Really does taste like a mince pie -with the cinnamon kicked up a notch. That's one thing I would say, this is for cinnamon lovers! It also has a lovely fruity side tastes like cherries and citrus to me, with a bit of a marzipan like taste too. Definitely be ordering this for Christmas.
