There is nothing better than a cuppa and cake (except perhaps a cake flavoured cuppa!) and did you know it was our good old queenie Victoria who invented the Vicky Sponge? Guess the name gives it away a bit! She loved taking afternoon tea with her home girls but decided they needed some extra nourishment to last until dinner. Cake it is then! We like your thinking QV!
Ceylon black tea, coconut, strawberry granules, freeze dried raspberries, raspberry leaves.
Warning: Packed in an environment that contains nuts.

1 heaped teaspoon per cup - 100° water - 4 mins - with or without milk

This tea is an interesting fruity, milky, flavour that is surprisingly nice. I wouldn’t want it as my main everyday tea but it’s lovely with a slice of cake or on its own as a mid morning treat.

Strange Smell
I never had Vicky Sponge cake before but this definately did not smell or taste of raspberry in my opinion... oat milk makes it alot better but other than that wasn't my favorite :(

Tastes Just Like It Should
Vicky's sponge cake tastes exactly like a decadent slice of heaven. I live in the US but my best friend lives in Southern England and this tea brings me right back to all the lovely afternoon teas we've spent exploring the countryside. I can't travel right now (thanks Corona virus) but this tea reminds me of great afternoons and is my go-to for a lovely afternoon treat. So good!

This tea is great - it's a slightly mellow yet sweet black tea - so brilliant!
Amazing Taste
Just like a piece of cake, also I do recommend shaking up the tea a little to evenly disperse the black tea leaves, as I had not done this beforehand, The tea had curdled after adding some non-dairy milk to it. I also recommend that you add full-fat non-dairy milk to the tea to prevent it curdling.
ALMOST the ideal Vicky sponge!
Really nice, but just a tiny bit too much coconut for me and not enough taste of the cake and raspberry due to this. But still a real pleasure to drink!

I never thought anything would ever topple a good peppermint brew off the top spot of my all time favorite teas, but this went and did it! You look at the description and you think, "Nah, that'll never taste like a cake!" but oh it does. Sweet, creamy and the lovely ever so slight tartness coming through from the raspberries.
The first time I made up a cup of this I was already gobsmacked by how wonderful it smelled and then, when I took a sip, I actually got goosebumps cause it was just so lovely.

Like eating cake
Really good tea, which tastes like biting into a cake. Not too sweet, and I am excited to try this as a cold brew (to potentially use in cocktails!) Currently enjoying it hot with milk :)

when you dont want to reach for the cake itself.....
You need to brew this one a little longer than usual but once you do it's like biting into a Victoria Sponge Cake. The creamy and jammy taste is spot on.
