Manchester Speak TEAsy Cocktail Recipes

We recently held our second 'Speak TEA-sy' in our Manchester store and you guys loved it! We've had so many people asking for the secret cocktail recipes that we just HAD to share them with you!

 

If you're based in Manchester, make sure you keep an eye out for the next one and come along!


Pineapple Mint Julep

You will need:

- 25ml Bourbon Whiskey

- 2 Perfect Tea Spoons of Pineapple Mint

- 5 sprigs of mint

- 2 tsp sugar

- Ice 

- Cocktail shaker

- Tin can or mason jar (for aesthetics) 

 

How to:

1. The first thing you need to do is brew 2 Perfect Tea Spoons of Pineapple Mint in 150ml of boiling water for 4 minutes to create a strong tea concentrate! Once 4 minutes is up, set it aside for a moment.

 

2. Place the mint and sugar & a few cubes of ice into the cocktail shaker, muddle well to release the oil and aroma of the mint.

 

3.  Add the bourbon and tea concentrate & roll together. (DO NOT SHAKE)

 

4. Pile your crushed ice high in the tin can (or mason jar) and pour your cocktail into the tin can. If you're feeling fancy, you can garnish with a few sprigs of mint and serve with a bamboo straw.

 

5. Enjoy!

 


Mary Hic-Ford

You will need:

- 25ml White Rum

- 1 Perfect Tea Spoon of Strawberry Lemonade

- 1/2 tsp Tropical Twist Matcha

- Fresh lemon juice

- Ice

- Coupe glass

- Cocktail shaker

 

How to:

1. The first thing you need to do is brew 1 Perfect Tea Spoon of Strawberry Lemonade in 50ml of boiling water for 4 minutes to create a strong tea concentrate! Once 4 minutes is up, set it aside for a moment.

 

2. Place all of your ingredients into your cocktail shaker and shake it for about 30 seconds (or until it's so cold you can't feel your fingers). 

 

3. Pour the cocktail into the glass through the strainer in the cocktail shaker. 

 

4. Enjoy!

 


Sparkling '75

You will need:

- 25ml Vodka

- Fresh lemon juice

- 1 tsp sugar

- 1 Perfect Tea Spoon of Blue Raspberry

- Prosecco

- Ice

- Flute glass

- Cocktail shaker

 

How to:

1. The first thing you need to do is brew 1 Perfect Tea Spoon of Blue Raspberry in 25ml of 80-degree water for 3 minutes to create a strong tea concentrate! Once 3 minutes is up, set it aside for a moment.

 

2. In a cocktail shaker, add your vodka, lemon juice, sugar & ice and give it a good shake, then pour it into your flute glass.

 

3. Then, pour in your 25ml of Blue Raspberry tea and top the rest of the glass with prosecco. If you'd like your cocktail to change colour, add in a splash of lemon juice!

 

4. Enjoy!

 


Turkish Apple

You will need:

- 25ml spiced or dark Rum

- A dash of Brandy

- 1 Perfect Tea Spoon of Ankara Apple

- 2 cardamom pods

- 50ml apple juice

- Cinnamon powder

- Apple

- Ice

- Cocktail Shaker

- Tumbler

 

How to:

1. The first thing you need to do is brew 1 Perfect Tea Spoon of Ankara Apple in 50ml of 80-degree water for 3 minutes to create a strong tea concentrate! Once 3 minutes is up, set it aside for a moment.

 

2. Crush & muddle cardamom pods into the bottom of your cocktail shaker. 

 

3. Add the rum, tea and ice into the cocktail shaker and shake well before pouring into your glass.

 

4. Top up with apple juice, add a dash of brandy and stir. If you're feeling fancy, you can add a sprinkle of cinnamon on top and stick a slice of apple on the glass.

 

5. Enjoy!

 


Pink Grapefruit Gin Rickey

You will need:

- 25ml Gin

- 1 Perfect Tea Spoon of Pink Grapefruit tea

- Fizzy Water

- Grapefruit

- Rosemary (optional) 

- Ice

- Cocktail shaker

- Glass

 

How to:

1. The first thing you need to do is brew 1 Perfect Tea Spoon of Pink Grapefruit in 50ml of 80-degree water for 3 minutes to create a strong tea concentrate! Once 3 minutes is up, set it aside for a moment.

 

2. Fill your glass with ice (about half way)

 

3. To a cocktail shaker, add the gin, tea concentrate and squeeze in 1/4 of a grapefruit. Now it's time to shake what your mumma gave ya!

 

4. Pour your cocktail into the glass and top with fizzy water. You can garnish with a slice of grapefruit and sprig of rosemary if you want to be extra fancy!

 

5. Enjoy!
