Love is Love: Our Independent Business Collabs!

Love is Love: Our Independent Business Collabs!

As you know Teabirds, we LOVE to collab with independent businesses, and our Love is Love collection wouldn’t be complete without some gorgeous homemade gifts!

Supporting our fellow small indie businesses is hugely important to us. It's also so much fun to work together, experiment  and combine our products to bring exciting & unique items to you.

So to mark this season of love, we are super-excited to partner up with two wonderful independent businesses.

To hear about these incredible Makers and their fabulous products, read on..

Meet Rhea from Hermit Creations

Hermit Creations is a wonderful little business run by Rhea Brown, who is also a long- standing Brighton-based Teabird!

Rhea loves crafting and finds it incredibly rewarding to make something by her own fair hands. She would always rather have a go at making something before buying one, and yes she is really good at it! Find her gorgeous creations on Etsy and at local craft markets! If you're looking for unique jewellery, look no further, as Rhea hand crafts using polymer clay with fabulous colours to create an exciting statement!

Rhea, founder of Hermit Creations, the creator of bespoke colourful polymer clay jewellery and cute crochet items!

She also loves texture and textiles and is a fan of crocheting (a particular fondness for crochet cactus!) , whilst snuggled up on the sofa with a cuppa and a cuddle with her cat Lily. She has already charmed our audience by taking part in our Independent Christmas Makers Market, showcasing a selection of fabulous handmade earrings.

Rhea has developed a stunning new design especially for our Love is Love collection, in the style of romantic vs retro,  full of colour and uniqueness, they are indeed heart melting! The perfect gift for someone you love, including yourself!

Meet Rachel from Jiminy Wickit

Jiminy Wickit - run by the wonderful Rachel, is our the newest member of our Maker family., Based in Hove, Rachel creates gorgeous scented candles and wax melts in small batches.

Starting Jiminy Wickit in early 2019, it was initially her hobby to keep herself  distracted after the loss of her dear grandparents. She has always loved a good scented candle and associates them with comfort and warmth. Different scents can change your environment even if you’re in the same place, which is pretty important when we’ve all spent a lot more time at home!

Rachel, founder of Jiminy Wickit, the luxury scented candle company with a beautiful cause

After being encouraged by her friends and family who adored her candles, she started her own business selling at local markets and created her very own website. Rachel uses high quality fragrances, ethically sourced wax and loves working with local suppliers where possible! Making everything feel like a little luxury at a more affordable level too!

What we love about Jiminy Wikit is that a percentage of all profits goes towards making bespoke memory candles for families who may be in need of a little light and comfort too. Something she has always loved about candles and fragrance is the way our brains connect scent to memory. She has created  delicious smelling Gingerbread scents which reminds her of the ginger cake her Nana would always bake, and a divine Rhubarb and Custard scent which reminds her of Grandad’s love of a good pudding!

So for this Valentines, we have collaborated with Rachel to bring to you beautifully scented items inspired by our tea blends, featuring Fairy Dust, Red Velvet, and Love Potion.

Light these little luxuries to soothe your senses whilst lighting up the darker hours!
