ChariTEA – Unicef’s Syria Appeal + CARE International

Each season we support a great cause through donating all proceeds of everybody’s favourite full bodied builder’s brew, ChariTEA. This season we’re excited to be supporting not one, but two great causes, splitting proceeds of ChariTEA sales 50/50 between Unicef’s Syria Appeal + Care International.

Unicef UK is a registered charity which is committed to helping and protecting children in danger around the world. Unicef UK rely solely on voluntary contributions to carry out their life saving work and reach every child in danger. As a result of the ongoing conflict, Syria is one of the most dangerous places to be a child, with more than 8 million children in danger. Not only have many children been injured or lost their homes and parents, but Syrian children are facing grave threats to their lives because they lack the simplest things – clean water and food. Unicef UK’s Syria Appeal aims to provide humanitarian relief to these children, and we here at Bird & Blend are proud to be donating 50% of proceeds from our ChariTEA blend to this amazing cause. 

CARE International is one of the world’s leading humanitarian and development organisations. Founded in 1945, they’ve been fighting global poverty and defending the dignity of people around the world for over 70 years. CARE currently works in 75 poor and developing countries, helping millions of the world’s poorest people find routes out of poverty through providing both rapid emergency care and long-term assistance. CARE works in partnership with local organisations to deliver their aid, and is non-religious and non-political, meaning regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, age, religion, political view or sexual orientation – CARE is able to reach those in need. The whole of the Bird & Blend team are so pleased to be donating 50% of proceeds from our ChariTEA blend to support CARE International in sending aid to those who might otherwise not receive it.
