Happy Maki - vegan sushi + great tea

Anna has opened her first store in Brighton after being on the road at festivals these past few years and for that we thank you! We have TEAmed up with Anna and her Team of 'Happy Makis’ and they are serving up some delicious cups of tea with THE best vegan sushi we have ever had!

What's your Bird & Blend Day? It’s actually a blue bird ski day … Pine tree covered mountains, fresh powder, friends and sunshine.

Favourite Bird & Blend tea? Your Earl Grey is THE best tea I have ever tasted and goes ridiculously well with carrot cake. However I have recently gone caffeine free, so I’m now a big fan of the Gingerbread Chai.

Last song listened to? Grow by Frances. Saw her live recently, very emotive but chilled.

Proudest moment so far? Hitting our record day for sushi wraps, which was at Wilderness Festival in
2016. In doing so that day, our customers contributed to just over 1000 meals for children in poverty through our one feeds two partnership with Mary's Meals.

Favourite thing on the menu at Happy Maki ? Toss up between the Beet and Basil Satay Sushi roll and, for something warm in this weather, the Popcorn Cauliflower with spiced coconut sauce which is a new addition to the menu. It's a recipe from our Chef Ali Hellmuth.
