There is a pretend living room in IKEA that I want in my dream house and this tea reminds me of the smell of the pretend fire they have going. It's smoky but not super overpowering and it's incredibly warming. Really lovely.

I allowed myself one treat in cash-strapped times - one order from Bird and Blend and this was my wild card. Totally worth it. It's super smoky and not for the faint hearted, but if like me, you like nothing more than stroking a dog by an open fire, or walking through the gnarly London streets, this is gorgeous.

This tea has a very pleasant slightly smoky taste, like a hug in front of the fireplace. Don't miss it!

Bought this for my husband who loves strong black teas and was not disappointed. It smells smokier than it tastes - which isn’t a bad thing at all. Very tasty and smells of a winter’s fire.
If you like lapsang slouching this is for you. So smoke you feel like you should be breathing smoke rings 5o make Gandalf jealous!
I have liked puerh and Lapsang Souchong for awhile, but never thought to combine them. Doing that and adding the other ingredients has made for an excellent brew!
This is a combination of ripe pu-erh and lapsang souchong. Those are some strong flavors. The smokiness is definitely there, not too strong with a sweet flavor. There is a note of raisins in one of these elements. The pu-erh flavor might hide behind the smoke. I know I like B&B’s pu-erh from their Coffee Pu-erh blend. I didn’t think there was much of the other elements in the cup (ginger, lemongrass, peppercorn) but now that I’m thinking of it, there are some distinct notes of lemongrass. Ginger is not something I love, but it might definitely be drowned in these other flavors. I’d probably like this blend without the lemongrass and ginger here. With other fun ingredients, this blend might have been amazing. I think I might like this Lapsang Souchong more than I like B&B’s Ceylon, but I don’t think the smoke would work with most of the amazing flavors they create.

The description of the tea involves experiencing the aged and smoky bricks of London's Borough, and the blend of puerh (aged) and Lapsang Souchong (smoky) is a perfect pun in the mouth. The lemongrass and peppercorns may not have as much to do with the Borough specifically, but do add an excellent depth of flavour. Both of us like smoky teas. There are so many teas out there that we tend not to buy one kind twice (except for the standard bags for guests) - but this might prove an exception....Read more
Being a fan of lemongrass and ginger combos, b&b's other puerh teas, and their other smoky flavoured blends I had to try this immediately. On opening the bag at first I was kind of shocked at how medicinal it smelt, but once made it's lovely! The lemongrass levels are just right, and there is a nice warming ginger hug after. I have to have mine with milk in, because I think the smoke would be too strong otherwise. Could just be the perfect wake up tea. I see this is listed as an autumn blend, but not marked as limited edition. I really hope it isn't! We need more puerh in the main range!...Read more
This is a perfect blend. Very drinkable with a beautiful smoky kick. It makes such a lovely comforting cup of tea.
