Great for the morning
Really delicious cup of tea!
Best straight-up black tea I've had. It's got a good, strong flavor without being astringent or bitter. It handles my additions of cream and honey without being over powered.
A perfect gift for my Dad for Father's Day, which is fast becoming his go to cuppa!
I purchased this tea for my sister and she was very happy indeed!
Was expecting the best cuppa ever. Was let down. Yorkshire Gold beats this one by a country mile.
Only other point to note is I have to use 2 heaped teaspoons to get a decent cuppa.
This blend is every kind of right. It is the most delicately, flavoursome I have ever tried. Believe me I have tried a LOT!
It’s equally perfect with or without milk, more subtle and refined than a traditional “builder’s brew” but with all the satisfaction of the tea being the hero.
Great-tasting everyday tea
Great first thing in the morning. full flavoured and rich
This is my go to standard comfort cup of tea. You know when you say "should we have a cup of tea?" as the British way to solve a problem, this is that tea.
This has everything a classic cuppa needs. The flavour of the Assam tea comes through beautifully and makes for a very smooth, but strong, cup of tea. Perfect when you need to wake up, but a bit more gently than with Builder's Brew.
This is definitely the kind of tea to drink on a lazy Sunday morning, when you want to relax and enjoy all the world offers.
I normally prefer my tea stronger than this.....I like to be Karate-chopped when I have my first cup of tea in the morning - this was more like a playful punch on the top of your arm by an old friend. It still a beautiful tea but it is my own preference to have stronger. I cannot fault it, hence my 5 stars.
The name of this tea would have put me off because most British cuppas are strong on colour and short on flavour but the blend interested me if they are good enough selections. And bingo, they are so this is about as good as tea gets.
This is the best tea i have tasted ever. It beats the well known supermarket brands/stuff hands down. It's a regular order for me now.
Lovely traditional cup of tea!
The husband is a self confessed tea snob and he can't get enough of this blend. He loves the big leaves and the lack of dust, even at the bottom of the bag. He says its the perfect combination.
Don’t give me all the fancy stuff but the great British cuppa is a cracker, relieved I could order on line posting etc was very efficient. The missus goes for earl greys which she swears by but don’t get me started on that perfume! Recommend a little tea strainer that fits directly on the cup, as quick as using a tea bag, no messing about with a tea pot, save that if you ever need to impress.
I bought the British breakfast tea which is a really nice blend of Assam, Ceylon and yunnan.
